This is truly one of the big steps to seeing the magic that is all around us.
Start with the daily routine of your life for example. Is there anything that you do that could be done better or easier? To find this out you really just need to examine it from another angle. One way is to write down just what it is you do do everyday. Are there any short cuts you can make to make it easier than it is? We tend to get in little ruts and just keep doing the same thing over and over without really stopping to think about it. I used to drive one way to work cause it seemed easiest. Then construction made me change my route and guess what? I found a way that was quicker, it just hadn't seemed that way at first. Nor had I taken the time to expand my vision and really look at the path I was taking. That can be easily said for many things in our life I believe.
It's been said that we are creatures of habit and it is just so true. An old very wise teacher of mine once wrote this out on the chalkboard.
Habit. This why they're so hard to break.
Take part away. You still have abit.
Take part away. You still have bit.
Take part away. You still have it.
Finally, take part away and you only have t.
So funny yet so incredibly true.
Same wise teacher also taught me that time and tide wait for no man. She was a wise math teacher indeed.
Also expand your vision to encompass the world around you. That coworker who snapped at you today. Expand the vision. Are they possibly having a bad day and just took it out on you? Did you think to expand your vision and see if there was anything more behind it?
If you practice expanding your vision you will truly see amazing things right in front of your nose. Try it and see.
